Can we ditch intensive farming and still feed the world? We pretty much have to, because feeding the world's expanding population with intensive farming is like slamming the accelerator on climate change. This Guardian explainer looks at the different kinds of food production we can try instead, from agroforestry to urban farming. My favourite fact from the story: "There are more than 570m farms worldwide; more than 90% are run by an individual or family and rely primarily on family labour. They produce about 80% of the world's food." So we aren't as reliant on industrial farming as you think."
